Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-12

HypeStorm turns photos of real people into AI-generated videos. Because the people in those photos are real, this policy is strict. It applies to every photo you upload, every video you generate and how you share it, and it is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This policy covers:

  • Your input: the photos you upload. There is no text prompt and no video or audio upload — the scene, the shots and the instructions sent to the AI model are fixed by us, so the model cannot be steered with words.
  • Your output: the AI-generated videos rendered from your photos, and how you use and share them.

2. The One Rule

Only upload photos of yourself, or of adults who have agreed to be in your video. Before every video, you confirm: "The people in these photos are me or adults who agreed to be in this video — no one under 18, no celebrities or public figures." A video cannot be started without that confirmation.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not use HypeStorm to create, or attempt to create, any of the following.

3.1 Pornography and sexual content (NSFW). No nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive poses or clothing, or sexualized depictions of any person.

3.2 Violence and gore. No depictions of violence, injury, weapons used against people, blood, gore or threats.

3.3 Hate speech and harassment. No content that attacks, demeans or threatens people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic, and no content made to bully, humiliate or harass anyone.

3.4 Child-unsafe content. No photos of anyone under 18, in any context. Any attempt to create sexual content involving a minor is reported to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and the account is closed permanently.

3.5 Deepfakes and impersonation. No videos of people who have not agreed to be in them. No celebrities, public figures, politicians or influencers — even with a "parody" label. No content meant to make anyone believe that a real person said or did something they did not, and no content used for fraud, scams, defamation or political messaging. When you post a video, keep it identifiable as AI-generated and turn on the platform's AI-content label where one is required.

3.6 Copyright and trademark infringement. No copyrighted characters, artwork, logos or brands you do not own, and no photos taken by someone else that you do not have the right to use. HypeStorm never provides the song or the original music video behind a trend — do not upload them.

Zero tolerance. We act immediately, close the account and report to the authorities where the law requires for: sexual content involving minors; sexual or intimate deepfakes of a real person made without their consent; and content that promotes terrorism or mass violence.

Other prohibited behavior. You also may not use HypeStorm to spread false information about real people, impersonate any person, brand or organization, present an AI-generated video as real footage or as human-made work, mass-produce spam or fraudulent content, or get around our safeguards — for example by creating multiple accounts or repeatedly resubmitting photos that were refused.

4. How Content Is Checked

  • Fixed scene, no prompts. Every video follows the same fixed scene built from our own assets. Users cannot write prompts, upload video or add audio, which removes the most common ways to steer an AI model toward harmful content.
  • Confirmation before every video. You must confirm the One Rule (Section 2) each time; requests without it are refused before anything is charged or uploaded.
  • Model safety checks. The AI video model we use applies its own safety system and refuses requests that break its content rules. A refused video fails, and its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
  • Reports reviewed by a person. Every report (Section 5) is read and decided by a person, not an automated system.
  • Private by default. Videos are private to your account. HypeStorm has no public gallery or feed and never publishes your videos — you decide where to post them.
  • Records. We keep records of refused and failed videos, reports and enforcement decisions, so decisions can be reviewed and appealed.

5. Reporting Content

If you see a video made with HypeStorm that breaks this policy, or that uses your image without your permission, email privacy@hypestorm.app. You do not need an account. Please include:

  • a link to the content, or a description of it and where you saw it;
  • who you are and your relationship to the content (for example, "this is me" or "I own this artwork");
  • what you would like us to do.

Please do not send identity documents unless we ask for them. Reports are handled confidentially. We review every report and respond within these times:

  • Child safety, or sexual content of a real person without consent: acted on within 24 hours.
  • Unauthorized use of your likeness, impersonation or copyright: reviewed within 2 business days.
  • Anything else: reviewed within 5 business days.

If a report needs longer — for example because we need more information — we will tell you why. Reports that are knowingly false or abusive may be disregarded.

6. Enforcement

Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:

  • refuse a video and delete the photos and the video;
  • remove videos from your account;
  • pause video generation on your account;
  • suspend or permanently close your account;
  • forfeit remaining credits on accounts closed for serious or repeated violations — such as child-safety violations, fraud or deliberate deepfakes — without refund;
  • report illegal content to law enforcement and cooperate with lawful investigations.

7. Appeals

If you believe a video was refused or your account was restricted by mistake, email support@hypestorm.app within 30 days from the email address on your account, with the date and a short description of what happened. A person reviews every appeal within 2 business days. If we got it wrong, we restore your access and return any credits.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service and the law change. We will give at least 15 days' notice of material changes by email or on the Service, and update the version and date at the top of this page.
